Valley Trotters Youth Ranch is a faith-based organization founded on God’s word. Located on 12 beautiful acres in McAllen, Texas, we offer programs that connect the needs of rescued horses with the undiscovered potential in every child and youth. God planted the seed and vision for Valley Trotters Youth Ranch in our hearts nearly three decades ago. Since then, we’ve seen countless lives be transformed and healed due in large part to the faithful donors, volunteers, and partners in prayer who have walked alongside us every step of the way.

A mission that inspires healing
Valley Trotters Youth Ranch is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in the Rio Grande Valley that was founded to benefit youth, strengthen families, and rehabilitate horses. We do this by offering programs that are exclusively funded by donations and contributions. We provide a safe environment where our youth can find acceptance, build trust and relationships, and learn skills that will serve children for a lifetime.

Volunteer Opportunities
Our volunteers are the heartbeat of Valley Trotters Youth Ranch. Whether serving on the feed team, as a riding session assistant, or joining us as a prayer partner, your God-given gifts will be used to make a positive impact on the lives of the next generation.
Equine Rescue
Our committed team of volunteers has been part of 45 horses being rescued or rehomed, and that need continues to grow. If caring for and loving on mild-to-moderately mistreated horses pulls on your heartstrings, our Equine Rescue Program may be for you.
